Solange Wedding Photos Recreated…by Black Barbies!

HelloBeautiful

SolangeWeddingPic

It’s been 3 weeks since Solange Knowles‘ spectacular New Orleans nuptials to her longtime beau Alan Ferguson and people still can’t stop talking about it. The “Losing You” singer’s white wedding photo has inspired many to duplicate, but none can top the one in the land of toys courtesy of Barbie. On Sunday, Knowles showcased a reenactment of the photo with dolls via Instagram and wondered who was responsible for it.

“Sunday reflections…. (Also I NEED to know who did this, so I can hug them hard:)”

Solange Covers Lucky Magazine & Talks ‘That Thing’ That Happened With Jay Z On The Elevator

HelloBeautiful

solange lucky magazine august Photography by Todd Cole; Fashion By Kathryn Neale

Solange Knowlescovers the August 2014 issue of Lucky Magazine armed with a killer ‘fro, aqua blue pastel pleated pants, and a cool summer sweatshirt (I know that seems like an oxymoron but they do exist). If you’ve been reading anything I’ve written (ever) then you know that Beyonce’s little sister is my favorite and happens to be one of my hair crushes. She looks so fab on this cover that “Cartergate” elevator incident is a far forgotten unfortunate memory that Solange and I have both buried deep in the back of our minds.

But you Beauties know that world was not impressed, phased or believing that blanket statement the family released.

I’m really focusing on gratitude lately. I’m not complaining. I noticed that when I stopped looking at what was wrong in every situation, things just started to naturally work themselves out. I posted this because I wanted to give a little inspiration today. Uhh…I know it’s Monday so you could probably use it right? LOL! Have a good week everyone.

Things To Consider Before Going Natural

Black America Web

The transition from relaxed to natural hair has become increasingly popular. What is now referred to as the “natural hair movement,” has more Black women wanting to ditch the chemicals for their own curls.

I’m an advocate for going natural and being natural, but a few things should be taken into consideration before making the decision to become a naturalista!

You must embrace your hair. I’ve heard stories of women taking the leap to go natural and then hating it because of the way their hair looked. When it comes down to it, it’s not for everyone. But to truly be about this natural hair life you have to accept your hair, its texture, and everything that comes with it. It’s something different, but you have to fully embrace and love it.

You need patience…a lot of it. If you think you’re about to go natural today, and…

I have been a fan of Teyana Taylor since Sweet 16 and her Star Trek days. I have been waiting for new music from her for a while. She is very talented and I love her style not to mention her curly mane!! I am feeling the single thankfully it is a more mature track than her bubble gum first single “Google Me”. Her new single gives me that throwback Aaliyah vibe! I am excited to see what the G.O.O.D. Music Singer will come out with next. Hopefully she will get away from the twitter beefs, and relationship drama to let her music speak for itself!!
