Gratitude
I’m really focusing on gratitude lately. I’m not complaining. I noticed that when I stopped looking at what was wrong in every situation, things just started to naturally work themselves out. I posted this because I wanted to give a little inspiration today. Uhh…I know it’s Monday so you could probably use it right? LOL! Have a good week everyone.
Things To Consider Before Going Natural
The transition from relaxed to natural hair has become increasingly popular. What is now referred to as the “natural hair movement,” has more Black women wanting to ditch the chemicals for their own curls.
I’m an advocate for going natural and being natural, but a few things should be taken into consideration before making the decision to become a naturalista!
You must embrace your hair. I’ve heard stories of women taking the leap to go natural and then hating it because of the way their hair looked. When it comes down to it, it’s not for everyone. But to truly be about this natural hair life you have to accept your hair, its texture, and everything that comes with it. It’s something different, but you have to fully embrace and love it.
You need patience…a lot of it. If you think you’re about to go natural today, and…

I have been a fan of Teyana Taylor since Sweet 16 and her Star Trek days. I have been waiting for new music from her for a while. She is very talented and I love her style not to mention her curly mane!! I am feeling the single thankfully it is a more mature track than her bubble gum first single “Google Me”. Her new single gives me that throwback Aaliyah vibe! I am excited to see what the G.O.O.D. Music Singer will come out with next. Hopefully she will get away from the twitter beefs, and relationship drama to let her music speak for itself!!

High Fashion & Natural Hair
I love fashion and always have, over the years I have notice that many of the high fashion models and models in commercials have natural hair and I love it!! Do not get me wrong there is still a major discrepancy in the amount of Black women in the fashion industry. Not to mention in the media we are not always shed in the best of light smh. But on the positive side of things I feel encouraged when I see women of color strutting their stuff on the catwalk, on the cover of high fashion magazines, and in beauty commercials Embracing Their Crown so one day the rest of the world will do the same 🙂
Below are a few beautiful models that inspire me and have made their mark on the fashion industry as well as in the natural hair community.
Wakeema Hollis
Herieth Paul
Sabina Karlsson
Aluad Deng Anei
Sessilee Lopez
